Initial Pool Start-Up

The correct start can make a big difference. The simple steps that follow will help you to avoid potential problems in the future.

Pool Preparation

You must ensure your pool is completely clean and any cracks, leaks or liners damage are repaired befor eyou begin filling it.

Cleaning Your Pool

1. Leaves and debris must be removed with a strainer basket

2. The sides and bottom of the pool should eb brushed, using a soft brush on liner pools

3. Special cleaning agents can be used on drained, concrete pools. Liner pools should be emptied under supervision, Mister Sparkle Swimming Pools can carry this out for you along with the cleaning and refilling.

Painting Your Pool

There are two types of pool paints:

a) Solvent based paint (chlorinated rubber)

b) Water based Paint

Solvent based paint is more enduring than water based, lasting several years longer in comparison.

Never mix solvent and water based paints!

Any future applications of paint to your pool must be of the same type used originally.
